About the event
The Poetry Brothel Toronto is back for our 14th Cabaret with HAUNTED SPEAKEASY!
Join us in conjuring the spirit of the 1920s in style on October 29th at Ground Control Toronto! Come dressed as a flapper, a sheik, a ghost, or think on the rise of spiritualism in the era, and come as a fortune teller. Get creative with your costumes - it is spooky season, after all.
Arrive at 6pm to get your drinks, your seats, your Birdie chocolate truffles, and feel into the vibe.
Our show will start at 7pm, and includes many of the usual suspects of poets - plus some exciting musical acts and a burlesque performance you don't want to miss! Stay after the show to dance, socialize, and have intimate experiences of poetry with one-on-one private readings. We'll dance into the night, chasing away whatever haunts you with joy and juice!
